Proposals worth Rs 17,000 crore have come for solar power generation here. Like the rays of the sun, Agra is shining at the second place in terms of investment in the state. After Noida, Agra has emerged as the first choice of investors in the state.

In the field of solar energy production, 13 plants are going to be set up in Agra. From which about five thousand MW electricity will be generated. There will be a total investment of Rs 17117 crore. Deputy Commissioner Industries Anuj Kumar told that by producing electricity from solar energy, investors will sell electricity through the grid. It is very hot in Agra. The sun remains strong. That’s why this city has attracted investors in the solar energy sector.

Due to the restrictions of the Taj Trapezium Zone (TTZ), the way of investment was closed here for the last 25 years. Investors have been attracted by Neeri’s new sectoral guidelines and relaxation in restrictions. A total of 281 proposals worth Rs 3.35 lakh crore have come in Agra. There are proposals worth Rs 33 lakh crore across UP. In which Agra’s share is 10 percent. Noida is in the first place. A record investment of over Rs 7.85 lakh crore will be made in Noida. Lucknow at number three is Rs 1.96 lakh crore.

The Investors Summit organized on the lines of UP Global Summit from February 10 to 12 concluded at Vikas Bhavan on Sunday. A meeting of Udyog Bandhu was also held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Navneet Singh Chahal. Where the entrepreneurs demanded to simplify the paper and technical process. DM Navneet Chahal told that the concerned departments will cooperate in the NOC process. To help the investors, Udyami Mitra will be appointed at the district level, who will complete the paper and technical deficiencies of the entrepreneurs. The investment proposals that have come, will cooperate in putting them on the ground. CDO A. Manikandan, entrepreneurs Pradeep Vasan, Mukesh Aggarwal etc were present in the closing ceremony.
