Agra News : Karhal. Troubled by the stray cattle in Thana Kurra area, the villagers locked the cows in the upper primary school at Bhawanipur on Thursday morning. After getting the information, the farmers also got into an argument with the officers who reached the spot. After about four hours, the cattle were taken out of the school and sent to the cow shed. In many villages of Kurra area, stray cattle are damaging the crops of the farmers. The farmer is forced to keep vigil throughout the night. Many a times farmers also get injured in stray cattle attack. After no hearing anywhere, the patience of the farmers of village Bhawanipur and the surrounding areas was answered on Thursday. Angry villagers drove the stray cattle with sticks and locked them in the upper primary school at Bhawanipur at around eight in the morning. A crowd of farmers gathered on the spot.
Tehsildar Abhayraj Pandey, BDO Rukmani Verma, Panchayat Secretary along with the police force reached the spot on the information about the closure of cows in the school. He tried to pacify the angry farmers, during which there was a scuffle with the farmers. The farmers said that even after complaining several times, there was no solution to the problem of stray cattle. Farmer’s crops are damaged, farmers are injured in the attack, but no one is paying attention to it. The conversation went on for about four hours. Around 12 o’clock the villagers agreed. After this, the cows removed from the school were sent to the cowshed.
