Entertainment News (Bollywood) : Agra Cantt station and metro station will be connected. The connectivity of both will provide great convenience to the passengers. This is to say of Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway. He told that the railway is conducting a survey for this.
While interacting with the media at the DRM office, Upadhyay said that work is going on to provide better facilities at Agra Cantt. Efforts are also being made to connect it with the metro station. The team of experts is conducting the survey. Work will start on receipt of their report. This will make it easier for people to reach Agra Cantt station.
Regarding the Vande Metro scheme to connect Agra-Mathura, said that this is a plan to connect two big cities. It is expected to operate between the two cities in the future. Tender has been done for the 15 stations of Agra-Mathura which were selected for rejuvenation in the budget. In this, other facilities for the passengers including automatic stairs, lift will be increased.
The tender process has started for the second entry way of Agra Cantt station. Due to this, the surrounding population will not have to travel 3 kilometers to reach the Cantt station. After the commencement of the second route, passengers will be able to get down from FCI godown from Kheria Mor and enter the station by taking tickets from Sarai Khwaja side.
He informed that the work of the new bridge being constructed on the Yamuna at a cost of Rs 110 crore is going on at a fast pace. The work is expected to be completed by December. Apart from this, DPR has been approved for doubling of Agra Fort-Bandikui line. Due to doubling, the distance between Agra-Jaipur will be reduced.
Land has been acquired for the third line from Keetham to Bhandai. 3-4 bridges will be built on this. Their work has started. Railway has given approval to construct a flyover at Bhandai.
