AgraNews : In Agra’s Taj Trapezium Zone (TTZ), the registration of 4.52 lakh vehicles older than 15 years has been canceled by the RTO. Agra is on top in the report of six districts. Etah has been found to be the worst. Bharatpur is second and Mathura is third. The list has been sent to the traffic police in the respective districts for action.
Diesel, loading, commercial and private vehicles are included in the district-wise report sent by the Divisional Transport Officers to the TTZ Committee. Based on the list of de-registration vehicles, the CCTV cameras of Agra Smart City have identified 1100 vehicles. These vehicles are running on the roads even after the cancellation of registration. The exercise to confiscate them has started. Registrations of 1.78 lakh vehicles have been canceled in Agra. Apart from these, there are 70 thousand vehicles whose registration cancellation notices have been issued for six months.

TTZ President and Divisional Commissioner Amit Gupta told that ’15 years old vehicles are banned. Action is being taken against them in all the districts. Verification of vehicle owners is also being done.
